Loving God and Loving Neighbor
Current Series

February 22 - March 22
If asked, would you be able to talk about how God has worked in your life? Most of us would struggle with that question. Most Christians believe that their story is not important or distinct enough to share, yet your story is unique. In this sermon series we will learn how to tell our stories by looking at several stories of faith including members of our church.

Ash Wednesday
February 18, 2026 - 7:00 pm
Lent is a time in the church set aside for reflection, prayer, and study. Lent is 6 weeks leading up to Easter Sunday April 5th. The first day of Lent is always a Wednesday and is known as Ash Wednesday. Part of this special service is the receiving of ashes usually in the shape of a cross on the forehead. This is a symbol of our need for God's love and Christ's presence in our lives. Everyone is welcome to attend this unique service.
Sellersburg United Methodist Church has been a beacon of faith in the community for over 150 years. We are grounded in our faith in Jesus Christ, while continually reaching towards new ways of sharing the good news of God’s amazing and wonderful love. We are an inclusive community welcoming all people. We are a safe space where questions are encouraged, and where we search for the answers together. We are Wesleyan: biblically based, using reason, experience, and tradition to understand and apply scripture. We believe that our love for our neighbor is a reflection of our love for God.
