Helping Others

Sharing God's Love
in Real and Practical Ways

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we seek a balance between loving God and loving our neighbors. We believe loving our neighbors is an expression of our love for God. This means loving God and loving neighbor are linked together and carry equal weight. As such, we are always looking for partners in the community where we can share our gifts and support their efforts. Below are a list of some of the community organizations that we support.

Silver Creek Food Pantry

The Silver Creek Food Pantry supports the families and students of the Silver Creek School District  who suffer from food insecurity.

SUMC collects food on a regular basis, and at Thanksgiving we collect enough food to make several full Thanksgiving meals.

NOTE: They have requested we collect pastas as they are often short of these types of foods.  â€‹â€‹

The Young at Heart Luncheon participants collect items and assemble snack bags which are then delivered to Exit 0.

The Missions Team is responsible for cooking and delivering over 100 meals on each 5th Sunday of the year.
