What people wear to church has changed drastically over the last 50 years. If you watch an older movie, everyone in church is in a suit and tie or a very nice dress. For most churches, including our own, those days are long gone. In the summer, some come in shorts and t-shirts, others come in what would be called business casual. Our church is air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter, so consider that as you decide what to wear. Worship begins at 10:15 am. If you are coming to worship we suggest you arrive between 9:50 am and 10:05 am. At 10:00 am, there is coffee and snacks in the Fellowship Hall. For those looking for a small group lesson, Sunday mornings begin at 9:00 am with Sunday School for all ages. If you would like to come to Sunday school, you are welcome to arrive between 8:45 am and 9:00 am. 

Parking is available on New Albany Street in front of the church. There are well-marked parallel parking spaces marked on both sides of the street. There is also a large parking lot located behind the church off of Penn Avenue. Parking next door in the school parking lot is also fine on weekends and evenings.

Children are always welcome in worship if you prefer to keep them with you. Our Sanctuary has an area at the back under the balcony with a kid-sized table and chairs along with adult-sized pews. It has quiet activities in it such as coloring supplies, building toys, and books to look at or read.  There is also a rocking chair and crib.

If you'd like to attend an adult Sunday School class, starting a bit before 9:00 am, there are adult paid staff workers in the child care room located in Room 8 in the church basement. This time is an informal gathering and play time starting at 9:00 am so your kids can be dropped off whenever you arrive, or begin worship with you. During the worship, there is a Children's Time in which the children are invited to come up to the front and meet with Pastor John. (The children who stay downstairs are brought up by the staff workers for Children's Time.) After this time, the children who want to go are welcome to attend Children's Church which lasts until the end of worship. On the first Sunday of each month, there is no Children's Time so the children can remain downstairs from the time they arrive until they are brought up to the Sanctuary by the staff workers before communion is served near the end of the worship service.  

Yes, starting at 9:00 am nursery care is also provided by adult paid staff workers. The Nursery is located in Room 9 in the church basement. Nursery care is available from 9:00 am until the end of worship.
